U 13s win in style

On a wet and windy Saturday morning our 13 side took on a strong park B side. First half we were battling against a very tough wind and started quite slow conceding a sloppy goal within the first 5 minutes. This seemed to wake our side up and we started to dominate possession with our back four in particular being very comfortable playing out against the strong breeze. Dara Heim began to run the game from the center of the park constantly looking for the ball and using possession very well. It didn’t take long for us to get on the scoresheet through a well worked goal finished off by Niall Cassidy. We managed to grab another goal before half time through an excellent individual run from Dara Heim. While we went in at the half in the lead we were not happy with the performance at this point and knew our players had a lot more to give. 2nd half the players went out with a point to prove and started scoring at will through some excellently worked goals usually involving some fine passing moves between several players. Goals from Edward stack, Conor Lenihan, Eddie McCarthy and a fantastic long rage screamer from center half Conor Gaynor sealed the points for Fenit. Our back four must be commended for their performance after conceding a sloppy opening goal they did not give parks forwards another inch for the rest of the game. Also well done to Paddy O’Sullivan in goals who did what was asked of him brilliantly with some excellent distribution. Subs introduced were Eddie McCarthy, Chris Nolan and Dillon Harris who all looked fantastic additions when put in to the game. Well done to our young side for their performance in very difficult conditions.
