Trip to Cork City Ladies WNL Match

Samphires u-10s Girls enjoyed a great day out at Cork City Ladies FC end of season WNL game. On special invitaton from Cork City Ladies FC, Fenit Samphires u-10’s girls travelled to Bishopstown last Sunday to watch Cork City’s final league game of the season against Galway United. As a special treat, Fenit Samphires led the Cork City team on to the pitch before the game as well as entertaining the crowd with a half time exhibiton.
The team also got to meet Irish internatonals Lauren Egbuloniu and Kerry natve Savannah
McCarthy who were happy to chat and pose for photographs. After the game, each player received a lovely goodie bag to remember their day out at Bishopstown and were treated to words of advice from manager Rónán Collins and a few of the Cork City players.
Many thanks to Chris and Craig who went out of their way to ensure that the girls had a day to
remember at the home of Cork City Ladies FC.
Boys Under 13 Boys:
Both our Boys U13 teams played last weekend in Fenit. The A team played Holycross from Limerick in the National Cup 3rd round but lost out on a scoreline of 3 nil. Our team is still a little off the standard at this level but is improving each game. Thanks as always to all who helped out with refreshments after the match and best of luck to Holycross in the next round.
The U13B team suffered a heavy loss aginst a strong Park team who travelled out from town. Our team tried it’s best but were a good bit behind our opponents who would be expected to be challenging for the league come next May. Again like our other U13 team we hope to see an improvement going forward. Big thanks too to the 2 girls and the U12 boys who helped us on the day.
Note: The last date for Christmas orders from the club shop is November 8th.
