The U14 and U16 Fenit Samphires girls teams celebrated the end of a great season at Samphire Park last Friday evening. The girls got their medals and team photos with some individual awards also given out. Thanks to McCarthys Gala Fenit and Aoife Kelly for the lovely hot food.
Both teams have made great progress during this their 2nd year in the league with some great team performances such as the u14s game versus Dingle and the u16s two game epic battle with Killarney Athletic in the semi final of the cup. Special mention goes to a number of girls who played in both the u14 and u16 teams all year showing great commitment. We would hope to build on this progress next season and hope to field girls teams in the u13, u15 and u17 league.
Thanks to all parents for their help and support during the year especially those who travelled on the away bus trips and hope to see all girls back in late August. New players are always welcome so spread the word….
