Senior Men: Samphires B v Listowel B
Senior Men: Div 1: Dynamos B 4 v 1 Samphires (Scorer: JJ Prior)
The seniors lost out last week vs Dynamos B in a league fixture. We have dipped in form over the past 2 or 3 weeks. We’re still in a good position in the league and we will bounce back again soon hopefully. Dynamos were better than us again today so we have no complaints about the result.
Senior Men: Munster Junior Shield: Samphires A 1 v 2 Dynamos B (Scorer: Ger McCarthy)
We went down to a better Dynamos side last weekend where we didn’t get going at all, even after Ger Mac scored. We play the same opposition again in the League this week and we hope our team will be able to even the score. Having said that, we wish Dynamos all the best in the next round of the Munster Junior Shield.

Girls U15s: As part of the Youth Voice Project facilitated by Kerryhead / Ballyheigue Family Resource Centre our u15 Girls enjoyed a great day of breathing techniques, wellness and pizza ! Huge Thanks to Seamus and all at the Centre for a great days activities!
Boys U15: Tralee Dynamos 8 v 2 Samphires: (Scorers: Evan Neary, Cormac Lawlor)
A second bad defeat by the 15s on Saturday in Tralee. We were 2nd best throughout as we struggled to match Dynamos quickness with and without the ball. We went 2 down after 20 minutes as we failed to fire in the midfield area leading to big pressure on us at the back. It was 3 down after half an hour though we pulled 1 back just before halftime. The same pattern repeated itself in the second half with Dynamos well worth the win. Among the best for us were Jamie Parker and Cormac Lawlor.
Boys U15: MEK 4 v 1 Samphires (Scorer: Gary Parker (Pen))
A pretty poor 1st quarter did for us last weekend. Down a few players we had to reshuffle the pack and it didn’t work out for us defensively, and we were 3 down after 20 minutes. The lads steadied the ship thereafter, but there was only going to be 1 winner.
Girls U14: Samphires 3 v 5 Dingle Bay Rovers (Scorers: Erin Harty(2), Roisin Rice)
It was an even game throughout with both teams taking the lead at various times during the match. Eventually Dingle upped it a bit and we had a poor 10 minutes, not taking our chances when they came. On the other side of the coin, Dingle did take some of their chances to give them the victory. It was a pretty good performance by our girls though, so well done to all of them.
Boys U14: Samphires 1 v 1 Ballyhar (Scorer: Evan Diggin)
2 points dropped last week in a home fixture. We dominated for most of the game and scored first through Evan Diggin with a cracker. Ballyhar gave us stiff esistance throughout and were in the game as long as we didn’t put the game to bed with a couple more goals but we failed to score another. We paid the price with 2 minutes to go when we didn’t defend against their winger who beat a number of our players way too easily and coolly finished. Quite a decent performance but a disappointing result.
Boys U13: National Cup: Kilmallock United 3 v 2 Samphires (Scorers: Scott Akinyemi(2))
A good performance from our boys but we just came up short against a good Kilmallock team. The teams were evenly matched but we were edged out by a late winner. Well done to all the boys who are gradually adjusting to this level of football.
Boys U13s Park 5 v 0 Samphires:
A tough day against one of the top teams in the Premier Division, a day that demonstrated the top teams can punish you if you have any slipups at the back. We played well in possession and got some joy going forward but defensively we made mistakes that the top teams don’t and this aspect of the game is something that all our teams need to take on board if you look at all our results over the weekend. Well done to all our boys with their general performance yesterday and maybe the result was harsh on us. This team is doing well in general in this division so keep it up lads.
Boys Park D 3 v 2 Fenit B: (Scorer: Luke Dillon, Padraig Whelan)
A game which was even steven throughout finished with us conceding in the last attack of the game. Our boys can be pleased with their performance throughout the game. A special mention to MJ Locke who had a particularly good game for us, but well done to all the boys.
Boys U13: Samphires B 0 v 7 Ballyhar B
The scoreline tells it all, we were well beaten. Apart from the scoreline, the more worrying aspect is that our 12s playing up are not performing at this level. Hopefully going forward when they get used to the physicality, results will improve.

Girls U12: Samphires 1 v 0 (Scorer: Saoirse Reen)
A brilliant performance by the under 12 girls versus LB Rovers today. Under wet and windy conditions, it was difficult for both teams. The match was 0-0 at half time. In the second half we began to apply a bit more pressure. Saoirse Reen finished off a very good move mid way through the half for us to come away with a 1-0 win. Delighted for the girls who never give up in every game they play.

Girls U12: Samphires 1 v 2 Park (Scorer: Fiadh McElligott)
A super performance by the u12 girls v Park this evening. We went 1 up in the middle of the second half with a brilliantly finished goal by Fiadh McElligott. Unfortunately, Park put us under pressure in the last 10 mins and they came out 2-1 winners in a game that was very evenly matched. Onwards and upwards for this fantastic group..⚽️
Boys U12: National Trophy Samphires 1 v 2 Bunratty (Scorer: Shay Gilligan)
Our 12s lost out in very poor weather conditions to Bunratty last Saturday. We had the lead through Shay Gilligan and were playing well but a goal halfway through the second half by Bunratty changed the momentum of the game and with 5 to go we conceded a second to give the visitors the win.
Boys U12: Ballyhar B 0 v 6 Fenit C:
Well done to the boys who have had a number of poor results recently but we finally got our act together away to Ballyhar. Well done too, to our mentors who are pushing this bunch on.

Boys U11s: Our u11’s had 3 x fixtures this Friday night, against Dingle and Ballyheigue. Thanks to all the teams for such sporting games in wet conditions.
Boys U11: We had 2 x teams playing against Park last week. We had a great turnout of 24 players, who all played well. Thanks to Park for hosting us and all the best for the season ahead.

Boys U10: Our boys travelled to Camp last week for their second away fixture of the season. Fantastic effort, teamwork and skill from the boys who are improving with every game. Thanks to all of the parents for the sideline support and of course the coaches for their efforts.

Boys U10: Our Under 10 boys welcomed Dingle Bay to Ardfert for their first home fixture of the season. The teams were very well matched and one game in particular came down to a thrilling finale. The hard work and dedication of the players and coaches in training is really beginning to show with some fantastic teamwork and controlled play. Thanks to Dingle for making the journey and to all of the families for their sideline support , and of course the coaches and mentors for this group.
U9s Blitz: Well done to all who participated last week, it was a long day with lots of game time for everybody which is great. Thank you to all the parents who helped out over the course of the day, the team leads, Colm, Joe, Stephen, Mike, Vinny & John, the refs: Dave, Diarmuid, Laura, John and Declan. Special thanks to John Keating and Paudie Whelan for transporting the goals over and back from Fenit and to Sarah and Mike for all the organising. Well done to the 3 Listowel Celtic teams, 3 Park teams and Tralee Dynamos who participated in Fenit Blitz today, all teams played great football.
