Seniors: Samphires A 4 v 1 Lenamore Rovers (Ger McCarthy(2), Billy Walsh, Dara Heim)
Promotion to the Premier B and a league final secured with another strong performance from our seniors. After an early scare we got a foothold on the game and went 1 up when Dylan Flynn blocked Lenamore from playing out and the deflection kindly put Ger McCarthy through on goal who then rounded the keeper and fired into the roof of the net from a very tight angle. Lenamore were caught in possession again on the half way line by Ger who had to do it all on his own as he carried the ball half the length of the pitch turning the last defender and calming finishing with his left. Billy Walsh put us 3 up after he latched onto an Alan McElligott long ball and lobbed the keeper brilliantly with a left footed volley giving us a comfortable lead going into the break. The second half was a bit slower and sloppier from both teams when our only moment of quality came from some good play down our left side when some neat passing resulted in Ger flicking the ball into Dara Heim who smashed the ball past the helpless goalkeeper. Lenamore would go on to get a consolation 5 minutes from time as we lost our way towards the end.
Not the prettiest but we’ll take the 3 points and build towards the league final now and hope to go on a run in the cups.
Mastergeeha B 3 v 1 Samphires B (Scorer: Jack Kelliher)
Fenit Samphires traveled to Mastergeeha in search of three points but left frustrated after a 3-1 defeat, despite controlling possession for large parts of the game.
The visitors started brightly, dictating the tempo and creating a number of early chances, but their inability to convert proved costly. Mastergeeha, in contrast, were ruthless when their opportunity came, taking the lead before halftime with a well-taken finish.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Samphires pressing forward but failing to capitalize. Mastergeeha, however, remained clinical, adding a second goal. Chasing the game, we pushed for a way back but were caught again as the hosts extended their lead to 3-0 with a free kick from the edge of the box.
A late goal provided some consolation for us, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. Despite playing attacking football, their lack of a cutting edge proved decisive, while Mastergeeha’s efficiency in front of goal made all the difference.

Girls U15s: Samphires 4 v 0 Castleisland (Scorers: Abi Kearney (2), Erin Harty, Fiadh Nelan)
Well done to our u15 girls who fought hard in tough conditions to secure victory against a spirited Castleisland side. Work rate in all areas of the pitch was superb and some great football was played at times. Thanks to Erin, Fiadh and Julie from our younger teams for their performances today. Well done everyone
Boys U14s: Ballyhar 1 v 1 Samphires (Scorer: Jack Corridon)
The 14s travelled to Ballyhar for a top of the table clash with Ballyhar. Like the home game last November, it was a tight affair. We scored through Jack Corridon who headed powerfully home from an excellently taken corner by Evan Neary. Again like the reverse fixture Ballyhar equalised late in the game. The league is a close run affair and we are still in with a shout, so keep on going boys. Well to all again.
Boys U12s: Samphires C 0 v 6 Dingle Bay Rovers B
A tough day at the office where Dingle rattled in a couple of early goals to set the tone ofr the game. We never really recovered and Dingle ran out comfortable wimmers. Well done to our team though who kept giving of their best on the day.

Boys U11s: Our u11 Green Team played their first match of Phase 2 of u11 developmental league against a very competitive Tralee Dynamos team. In what was an exciting game in tough conditions our boys showed superb workrate, skill and versatility! Well done boys
