Boys U16s: Samphires 8 v 3 Tralee Dynamos B (Scorers: Adam Duffy(3), Conor O’Sullivan(3),Dave Aherne, Conor Slattery)

Our 16s got off to a flier last weekend. We were on top for most of the game with Dynamos coming back at us sporadically. We were strong at the back and clinical going forward. Well done to all.

Girls U15s: Castleisland 2 v 5 Samphires (Scorers: Erin Harty (3), Fiadh Nelan (2))

The U15s got the season off to a winning start with a hard fought victory away to Castleisland. There was some expected rustiness there at times, particularly defensively in the first half when we conceded two poor goals. Starting the second half at 2-2, Castleisland put us under a lot of pressure in the early stages, however, a brilliant finish by Erin Harty mid-way through the second half turned the game. From there we played more confidently and 2 well taken goals by Fiadh Nelan late on sealed the win. Thanks to Castleisland for a great match.

Boys U14s: Samphires 2 v 8 Dingle Bay Rovers (Scorers: Aron Keating (pen), Conor James)

A disappointing start to the season, we were outclassed by a strong Dingle team who dominated the game. We take a small crumb of comfort from the game that we competed to the end and had patches where we did keep the ball. However, we have a lot to do on the defensive side of things.

Boys U14s: LB Rovers B 4 v 5 Samphires B (Scorers: MJ Locke, Sean Cullinane, Eoghan Farrelly, Zach Mullins)

Our 14Bs had a decent win in a match that looked like it was over at halftime with us 4-1 up. A determined LB side came out more determined in the 2nd half and it was a nervy finish for us but we held out for the win.

Girls U13s: LB Rovers 2 v 6 Samphires (Scorers: Saoirse Reen (3), Fiadh McElligott, Emma Barrett-Nazri, Eimear O Sullivan)

A brilliant start to the season by U13 girls today. A 6-2 win away from home in really harsh conditions v LB Rovers. What was very pleasing today is to see the girls so happy and together and very inclusive of some new and returning players.
