Boys U16s: Samphires 0 v 3 Camp
The boys 16s lost out 3 nil at home to Camp last weekend. It wasn’t a great performance and the better team won. Hopefully after Christmas we will get back to winning ways.
Boys U15s: Samphires 2 v 0 Iveragh (Scorers: Evan Neary, Jack Corridon)
The 15s continued on their winning streak against rivals Iveragh in a match to see who would be top of the league at Christmas. We had narrowly lost out in the reverse fixture earlier in the season so a lot was at stake. All the lads knew what was on the line and they all gave their best effort and thankfully we scored 2 good goals going forward and were strong defensively. Well done boys and enjoy Christmas.
Girls U13s Tralee Dynamos 2 v 1 Samphires (Scorer: Fiadh McElligott)
A massive effort by our u13 girls against Tralee Dynamos last Thursday evening. We were unfortunate not to get a few break throughs in the first half with all the pressure we had on them. We were down 1-0 at halftime. Performed brilliantly against the strong breeze in the second half but did give away a second goal which made our task very difficult. Fiadh McElligott scored another great goal with 2 mins left to play but to snatch the draw was not to be. Very proud of them all. A special mention to Faye Enright who made her U13 debut tonight and made some great saves and was as brave as a lioness throughout the game. We will enjoy the break now until we are back on the pitch in the new year.
Girls U11s: Well done to the Girls 11s who had a great match in Tralee Dynamos last weekend. Our girls are coming along great but well done to both sets of players who showed great levels of skill and determination.
