Mens Seniors: Classic FC 0 v 1 Samphires A (Scorer: Billy Walsh)
Our senior A team progressed in the Munster Junior Cup with a hard-fought 1–0 win away to Classic FC A. The game began at a high tempo, with us seeing plenty of the ball in the opening half. We managed to find pockets of space behind the Classic defence on several occasions, creating a number of chances, but just couldn’t find the finishing touch to make the pressure count. The second half followed a similar pattern, though we showed more composure in possession and managed the game well, moving the ball with patience and purpose. Classic threatened late on, striking the crossbar with a powerful effort that served as a wake-up call. Moments later, we produced what proved to be the match-winning moment — straight off the training ground. Jesse played a clever ball in behind to Keevan, who headed it back across goal for Billy to finish neatly and put us in front. We created a couple of chances after this to double the lead but just couldn’t convert. From there, the lads defended superbly to see out the result. Paddy made several key saves during the half, showing great concentration and composure under pressure. Some fresh legs were introduced late in the game, and their energy was vital in helping us see the match out and secure the win. A solid team performance, full of hard work and discipline. Well done to all the players, and thanks to Classic FC and the referee for a competitive and sporting game.
Mens Seniors: Samphires B 4 v 1 Emerald Eagles (Scorers: Ciaran Murray, Luke Murphy, Rory Boyd, Charlie Nolan)
Samphires produced a commanding performance at Samphire Park, running out 4–1 winners over Elton Wanderers. The home side started brightly, stunning the visitors with an early long-range free kick from Ciaran Murray, whose effort from his own half sailed over the keeper and into the net. Moments later, Luke Murphy doubled Fenit’s advantage with a composed finish. Elton Wanderers responded to pull one back, briefly shifting momentum their way, but Rory Boyd restored Fenit’s two-goal cushion before half-time with a goal from a corner. In the second half, Charlie Nolan was brought down in the box and he stepped up to convert the resulting penalty in style — firing into the top right corner to seal a deserved 4–1 victory for the Samphires.

Boys U16s: Castleisland B 1 v 2 Samphires (Scorers: Conor Slattery, Jack Corridan)
Great win for U16’s away in Casteisland. This was a feisty affair with a number of fiery exchanges especially in the 2nd half. We started well and controlled the match with Castleisland falling back into a low block. We went ahead when Tomas Dennehy knocked a high ball into the box which Conor Finn got a head to and it fell to Conor Slattery in the box and he finished smartly. We struggled a little after that to create chances as we tried too often to go down the middle. In the 2nd half Castleisland came back into the game as we tired and gave away some silly free kicks. They scored a good goal from the right hand side but we responded well and from a corner Jack Corridan prodded home. Castleisland fought back and things became heated towards the end – we managed to just about hold them out to secure the win. Good battling performance.
Girls U15s: Samphires 3 v 3 Mastergeeha (Scorers: Fiadh Nelan)

Boys U15s: Samphires B 3 v 4 Dynamos A (Scorers: Cian Slattery(2), Noah Slattery)
A game dominated by the wind, saw us lose out narrowly in a ding dong battle. Dynamos always looked the more likely as they held the lead more than us in the game. We conceded some very soft long distance shots in the second half which was the difference in the end. Cian Slattery up top was dangerous for us, but we weren’t solid enough defensively in our own half.

Boys U14s: Adare Utd B 1 v 9 Samphires (Scorers: Luke Dillon, Noah Slattery, Aron Keating, Bruno Grzybowski, Conor McCarthy, Daniel Lawlor, Fiachra Ó Slatara, Scott Akinyemi)
The 14s made the trip to Adare for a National Trophy fixture last Satuday to play Adare’s B team. It was a comfortable win for our lads against a team that kept fighting to the end. Well done to all. A big thanks to our hosts who looked after us before and after the match. We wish them well as they move forward with their recently upgraded grass pitch, their new dressing room and in their quest for a new all weather pitch.

Boys U14s: Samphires B 3 v 0 Iveragh B (Scorers: Eoghan Farrelly (Pen), Seadhna Ferris, MJ Locke)
Our U14 Green team took on Iveragh in a sunny Samphire Park on a day which was perfect for football. The teams were very well matched in the first half. Our back 4 were very solid and towards the end of the half we went ahead with a well taken penalty by Eoghan Farrelly. We came out with stronger in the 2nd half and created some good chances. Muiris Stack came on up front and created our 2nd goal which was duly dispatched by Seadhna Ferris. MJ Locke who played very well in a new position in midfield fired in a great free kick to round off the scoring. This was a good performance all round but built on a very good defensive display led by Captain Cathal O Connor. Thanks to Iveragh for a very sporting game.
Girls U13s: MEK B v Samphires

Boys U13s: Samphires B 6 v 0 Park C (Scorers Padraig Whelan(3), Matthew Rael, Luke McCann, Danny Harty)
The boys in green and black delivered a fantastic performance in challenging conditions. Despite some very promising attacks and a structured defence, We were two goals down at halftime after playing against a gale. Samphires quickly struck back after the restart when a great ball over the top found Padraig Whelan, who made the chance count. After a period of sustained pressure by us, Matthew Rael found the back of the net from a well-worked Josh Duffy corner. A fantastic first-time strike from the edge of the box by Luke McCann put Samphires in front, and there was no looking back with Padraig adding his second soon after. Danny Harty made an immediate impact after coming on with a cool finish, before Padraig rounded off a great performance by completing his hat-trick. It was an enjoyable watch, and all players put in a big effort. Well done boys

Boys U12s: Caherdavin Celtic 1 v 3 Samphires (Scorers: Cian O’Sullivan, OG, Leighton Murphy)
Well done again to our 12s in the National Cup last Saturday. They travelled to Limerick to face Caherdavin Celtic. It was a tight game as you would expect but we slightly edged it and ended up on the right side of the result. A great display by the team.
Boys U12s: Samphires B 6 v 0 Park C: (Scorers:)

Boys U11s: The first outing for our U11 Boys today in a long awaited pre-season friendly Vs LB Rovers. With the addition of new players and new team formations both the Black and White teams both competed brilliantly against a well organised LB rovers squad. Thanks to LB for making the journey and their players and coaches for what was a brilliant contest for all players on both teams.
