Men Seniors: Castlegregory B 1 v 4 Samphires B (Scorers: Conor Lenihan, Luke Murphy, Eddie Stack(2))
Our Senior Men B team got back to winning ways last Saturday night away to Castlegregory. We were good all through and deserved the victory. We were solid at the back and unselfish in the last third of the pitch with Joe Carmody setting up 3 of our goals and Michael O’Brien setting up the other. Well done lads. The Senior A game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Boys U16s: Samphires 6 v 1 LB Rovers (Scorers: Conor O’Sullivan(2), Cormac Lawlor(2), Conor Finn, Dave Aherne)
A good win by the 16s last weekend vs LB. We were on top for a lot of the game and pushed home our advantage when we could, which hasn’t always happened. Our team blows hot and cold from week to week with some of our players quite inconsistent in their performances which we also see at training where the attitude of late has been disappointing from certain players. We would very much hope that we will see an improvement from this point forward.

Girls U15s: Samphires 3 v 1 Tralee Dynamos (Scorers: Fiadh Nelan(2), Aoibhinn Corridon)
A big win for the girls today in a game that had it all. A composed first half saw us leading 2-0 thanks to some great lead up work by Erin and 2 good finishes from Fiadh. Backed by a strengthening wind, Dynamos started the 2nd half strongly and began to take more control of the match. A resolute defensive effort managed to keep them at bay and mid way through the half we scored a third via a well worked move between Kate and Erin and finished with a lovely strike from Aoibhinn. Dynamos pushed hard to the end, scoring a goal, but the girls held on to deliver an important win. Thanks to Tralee Dynamos for a sporting match played in great spirits.

Boys U14s: Killarney Celtic D 4 v 1 Samphires B (Scorer: Sean Collins)
Well done to lads last Saturday. We started slowly and found it hard to get into the game but in 2nd half we were very unlucky not to get back into the match as we settled well and started playing the way we can and created numerous chances. Heads up and we go again.

Girls U13s: KIllarney Ath B 1 v 5 Samphires (Scorers: Saoirse Reen(3), Sadhbh O’Donnell, Fiadh McElligott )
The u13 girls were away to Killarney Athletic today. We got off to a strong start and immediately put pressure on their goals. We led 2-0 at half time. The second half started and we conceded an early goal but to the credit of these girls, when a challenge is laid down, they go above and beyond with fight and determination. The game finished 5-1. Delighted for the girls and really pleased to see the team developing the way it is.

Boys U12s: Bridge Utd 1 v 0 Samphires A
A very tight encounter saw us just lose out to a strong Bridge United team in todays National Cup. A goal just before half time settled it but our boys fought really hard for each other right to the very end and were very unlucky not to find the equaliser. Thanks to Bridge United for hosting and best of luck in the next round.
Boys U12s: LB Rovers B 1 v 0 Samphires B
A narrow defeat by our B team away to LB in a tough match which could have gone either way. The game ebbed and flowed between 2 evenly matched teams and in the end it LB got the goal to win the game. Well done to all for such a good game which was of a good standard. Good work being done by both sets of coaches.

Boys U11s: Our u11 boys kicked off their Development league today in Ardfert vs a very strong LB Rovers outfit. Both A & B teams put in a huge effort and are already showing fantastic ability and teamwork. Well done to each and every player , huge thanks to the coaching support and also to LB rovers for a great contest. Onto the next one.

Boys U10s: So immensely proud of the performance of the Samphires team this morning against Listowel. It was a tight competitive affair, it was ding dong, up and down for the entire game and every single player gave
They came off the field red in the face, huffing and puffing and happy! Great attitude from all as they were subbed on and off. Special mention on one of our goals, where there was one touch passing between the Kilmoyley trio of “Dunny” Noah and a brilliant finish from Tadhg Regan. Huge thanks to Doreen for organising the game, to Mark for manager of the day who was brilliant! More training next Friday.
