Girls U14s: Eve O Callaghan Shield Final Ballyhar Dynamos 4 v 1 Samphires
Though the scoreline suggests otherwise, it was a close game. The first half was even and it was 1 all at half time. Ballyhar were awarded a penalty early in the second half and duly scored what turned out to be the most important score of the game. We tried to get it back level but couldn’t score against a a resilient defence and 2 more goals late in the game by our opponents on the counterattack gave them the victory. Well done to both teams for giving us such a good game, we look forward to the summer break and then coming back stronger next season.
Community Games: Big Well Done to the Boys U10s, Boys and Girls U15s teams, and their mentors, all of whom collected medals in the National Finals last weekend.
Fenit Samphires was well represented today with some of our boys and girls representing the parish in the Community Games National finals, who all brought home medals. The U10 boys were All Ireland Runners Up…the U15 Girls were Futsal 3rd place…the U15 Boys were Futsal All Ireland Runners Up.
