Boys 16s vs Park Sept 2026
Boys 16s vs Park Sept 2026

Boys U16s: (Scorers: Adam Goggin (5), Ben Stack, Ger Teahon, Jamie O Regan, Eoin Reilly)

Our U16Bs started the season with a strong team performance to beat Park B 9-2 in good conditions in Samphire Park. This is a strong team squad and they played well putting Park under pressure from the start. Our opening goal was scored by Ben Stack and that was followed by 8 more with Adam Goggin getting 5 on his Fenit debut, Jamie O’Regan with one on his debut and one each from Eoin O’Reilly and our Captain Ger Teahon who had an outstanding game. We have more players to return to this squad so the season looks promising.

Girls U15s: MEK 2 V Fenit Samphires 7 (Scorers: Hannah Barrett-Neziri (5). Ella Clerkin-Sayers, Hannah Redican)

Our 15s raced into a quick lead away to MEK in Fossa last Saturday and played very well. We were 3 -1 up at half time and another early goal in the second eased the nerves and we held out for a good win. Great start girls.

Boys U14s: Samphires 3 v 3 Park B (Scorers: Luke McCann, Aran Keating, Cian O’Sullivan)

A game of 2 halves for us. We totally dominated the first half but even with all our good passing we didn’t create too many chances. Our 4 wide players were often too narrow so we didn’t generate too many crosses and our shooting from the edge of the box was rushed with most of the players in that area. Still we went in 2-1 up at the half. We went 3-1 up with 20 to go but from then on, Park sent their big guns up and sent the ball into them and we had difficulty coping at times. Park scored twice near the end, their last one being a cracker in off the post to leave it 3 all in the end. Not a bad start for both teams.

Boys 14s vs Castleisland Sept 2026
Boys 14s vs Castleisland Sept 2026

Boys U14s: Castleisland B 1 v 3 Samphires B (Scorers: Ben Teahon, Josh Duffy, Olek Pglaska)

The boys in green and black got their season off to a winning start with an impressive display against Castleisland today.

We started the game with high intensity and were quickly rewarded when Ben Teahon darted into the box from the left wing to win a penalty, which he duly converted to give us a 1-0 lead.

Maintaining the pressure, Samphires created several more chances. High pressing left Castleisland struggling to clear their lines, allowing Josh Duffy to capitalise on confusion in the defence and double the lead to 2-0.

Castleisland started the second half brighter, scoring a penalty to bring the game to 2-1. However, we stayed composed and soon regained control. A wonderful team sequence featuring quick passes from Charlie O’Sullivan, Padraig Whelan, and Tomás Bunyan carried the ball from our goal line all the way to the Castleisland box. Olek Oglaska found space, took one touch, and smashed the ball into the roof of the net to make it 3-1.

It was a huge effort by everyone involved and a well-deserved victory!
