Under 12s Undone By St Bernard’s

Last Saturday we played away to St Bernard’s in a league fixture. We eventually lost 6 nil but 3 of these were late goals when we went chasing the game. Our keeper in the first half, Sean Vieux played well and in front of him Jack Falvey was excellent on the right. Colm Healy playing his first game this year was his usual dependable self and his centre back partner,Con Marley played very well and made his tackles. Sean Hurley on the left improved throughout the match. In midfield we had Tom Greaney, Cian Donnellan, Aaron Malik and Dara Heim all of whom did well. Paddy Walsh and Gavin Hussey showed some good touches up front. David Ryle came on at half time in goals and made many good saves. We introduced Micheal Kirby in midfield as well and he also added to the cause. We did well in first half and were unlucky to be 2 down at the half. We competed well in the first half with the aid of a breeze. 2nd half – we lost our shape a bit and stoppedĀ  passing the ballĀ  and this, combined with far too much dribbling ,made life too difficult for ourselves. We had a numberof good attacks in the second half with Cian Donnellan in particular passing well. Well done to all the lads and keep it up.
