Well done to our u14 team who got a hard earned 2-1 against listowel in fenit on thursday. The game started brightly with both teams creating chances. Fenit then started to dominate possession and were the first to break the deadlock through a well worked goal from Cian Donnelan. Listowel continued for a goal but we kept things tight at the back through Conor Gaynor, Colm Healy, James lynch and Niall Cassidy. We held on til the half and were happy with that given we were against a strong win for the first half which made it difficult. Second half we came out sharp and within ten minutes had found the net again through Jack Falvey. Listowel again continued to push for goals but we defended well in numbers and cleared everything that came near our goal. Listowel did get a consolation goals with 5 minutes to go but we held on very well and even continued to create some chances of our own which should of killed off the game. Another win for our young side who continue to impress more and more every game.
