U16s Lose 5-3

The U16s made the long trip to Kenmare last weekend for a league fixture against a team we had beaten earlier in the campaign. Unfortunately we were not able to replicate our form from previous games, being second to the ball on too many occasions. Our midfield in particular were below par and were on the back foot for too many periods in the game. Still we probably deserved to get a point as we had at least as many chances as our opponents but they scored 5 to our 3.  Best for us were stand in keper Ciaran Murray (whose presence was missed in defence), Ossie Clifford at the back, and front players Christopher Murphy, Jack Lynch and Conor Lowe. Scorers for us were Jack, Conor and Cormac O’Brien.
