Last Sunday our 17s lost out in the Kerry U17 League final on a scoreline of 2-0 against Mastergeeha. We conceded an early goal and spent the rest of the game chasing the equaliser but couldn’t find a way past a well organised defence. As the game progressed towards it’s conclusion we pushed more lads forward but were caught on the counter in the final minutes to leave the final scoreline 2-0. We wish to congratulate our opponents Mastergeeha on their victory – they are worthy champions. We also (and more importantly maybe from our own viewpoint) would like to acknowledge the effort put in by our own lads throughout the season and getting to the final was no mean achievement – they are a great bunch and we hope to see them all back in a few weeks when we will start training for the new season.
