Seniors: Dingle Bay Rovers 4 v 1 Samphires (Scorer Michael O’Gara)
The senior team lost out to Dingle last Sunday in a league match. As with a number of matches in the recent past we were within touching distance of getting a result but came up just short. It was 2-1 at half time and we were playing well but we conceded a third early in the 2nd half and though we made a decent effort to narrow the gap it was Dingle who scored towards the end to give them the victory.
Boys U14s
Samphires 7 v 1 Ballyhar (Scorers Eddie McCarthy(4), Bobby O’Connor(2), Tony Smyth)
Saturday morning in Fenit in glorious weather saw our U14s take on Ballyhar in the quarter final of the Kerry Cup.

Both teams started strongly but just before the ten minute mark we had the Dylan Ryan link up with Eddie McCarthy to create and score the opener. From then on we took control of the game with Eddie McCarthy completing his hat trick before half time. We defended strongly from the back with Jack Kearney and Billy Walsh soaking up all the Ballyhar pressure. Excellent wide play from David Dineen and Fiachra O’Connor helped create opportunities for our wide midfielders with Bobby O’Connor and Robert Monaghan getting down both wings.
With the sun shining strongly, the boys showed great fitness and desire to push on in the second half. Dylan Ryan and Danny Jeffers were strong in the centre with Eddie McCarthy ready to finish any opportunity sent his way. Our subs played a huge part in the game with Ruairi Burns and Rón O’Neill putting in superb performances. The game rounded off well for us with Dylan being fouled in their box. Tony Smyth stood up to take it and duly slotted home for his first goal for Fenit getting a great cheer form all who were there. So the U14s march to the semi final on this coming week at home to Mastergeeha.
Boys  U13s
Samphires 8 v 0 Mastergeeha ‘B’ (Scorers Oisin McGibney(2), Donagh Murphy (2), Josh Elvins, Tiernan O’Sullivan, Gearóid O’Connor, Cian McKenna)
Killarney Ath ‘B’ 1 v 2 Samphires (Scorers Paddy Falvey, Donagh Murphy)
The boys 13s team had a convincing win at home against a weakened Mastergeeha ‘B’ team last Saturday in our last league game. We were also short a few but both teams gave a good account of themselves and the scoreline is harsh on the visitors. In general play we had to defend well at times but we had the upper hand in both penalty areas. It was a very good display overall by our lads which is in contrast to our display last Thursday night away to Killarney Ath ‘B’ which we managed to win 2-1 after a poor performance in the quarter final of the Shield competition. Our scorers on thsat night were Paddy Falvey and Donagh Murphy.

Boys U15s
Killorglin ‘B’  5 v 1 Samphires (Scorer Christopher Nolan)
The15s didn’t have a good second half away to Killorglin ‘B’ last week. Up 1 nil at half time through Christopher Nolan we failed to deal with long balls down the middle, especially the second ball and paid the price. Despite the scoreline we had a good share of the ball overall and matched our opponents in most phases of the game but being more ruthless in defence in the main point we must take from the game. 2 more games left so keep at it boys.
