U17 Boys Park 7 v 0 Samphires
A tough match for our fellas last weekend in town against a very strong Park team. We will have to look at how we defend in midfield and switch on a little quicker when transitioning to defend but despite the scoreline there were many positives we can take from the game especially our play on the wings from which we created a good number of chances.  Hopefully we will take on board the harsh lessons from this game and improve for the next game.
U15 Boys:Samphires 8 v 0 Ballyheigue (Scorer Eddie McCarthy(3), Robert Monaghan(2), Bobby O’Connor, Fiachra O’Connor and Jack Kearney)

Our U15’s played Ballyheigue at Samphire Park on Saturday morning. In windy conditions our boys played extremely well. With solid defensive work and great outlet play from the back, we imposed ourselves on the game early and quickly got on the score sheet. On the day we were just too strong for Ballyheigue, but great credit must be given to the visitors for battling all through the game with their goalkeeper playing well. We finished the game as we started and scored eight without reply with Eddie McCarthy getting a hat-trick followed by two from Robert Monaghan with Bobby O’Connor,  Fiachra O’Connor and Jack Kearney completing the goals.

Others to shine on the day were Cillian Lynch, Ben Donellan, Dylan Ryan and Danny Jeffers.
U14 Girls Killarney Celtic 7 v 0 Samphires
In our 3rd game of the season we travelled to Killarney Celtic to play against Killarney Celtic.
Due to few late withdrawals  we had just 13 players available including 2 new recruits. We played against the wind in the first half we found it difficult to defend and conceded 2 goals early on. Our defence line was solid despite constant pressure from a much more experienced team who added 3 more nearing half time as our concentration waned.
After half time break, we made some changes to our team and our game improved as we created a few goal chances from corners and free kicks. The girls played one of their best Matches since we entered the league last year against the team who finished runners-up in National Cup a few weeks ago. We had great performances from our captain on the day Aoife Greany and Laura Reilly in defence and Muireann O’Brien despite a having very difficult job spearheading our forward line.
U13  Boys:Park 6 v 5 Samphires (Scorers Aaron Harty, Tom Quilter, Tiernan O’Sullivan , Jayden Deady, Keelan O’Dowd))
A superb game in Tralee last Saturday saw us lose an 11 goal thriller to the Park C team which went to and fro from start to finish. 4 times we took the lead and with 15 to go we were 6-4 down. Jayden Deady hit a scorcher to make it 6-5 but despite numerous goalmouth scrambles  we couldn’t force another. Our other scorers were Aaron Harty, Tom Quilter, Tiernan O’Sullivan and Keelan O’Dowd with the goal of the match. Well done to all the 13 lads who played, all of whom contributed hugely to the cause.
