Girls U16s
Fenit Samphires U16s took on Killarney Athletic on Saturday evening in the semi final of the cup. In the first half we played against the strong wind and conceded a goal mid way through. In the 2nd half we pressed for an equaliser but had few goal scoring oppurtunites against a strong Athletic defence. However the team never stopped and got the reward with 5 minutes remaining through a goal from Katie Dwyer. The game ended 1 all and a replay is required to separate these two well matched teams. Great spirit shown all over pitch with centre back pairing of Katie Hussey and Dervla Jeffers leading by example.
Boys U12s
Samphires 3 v 1 Mastergeeha B (Scorers Jayden Deady, Cian McKenna and Charlie Nolan)

The Boys 12s had 2 games in the past week. We played Mastergeeha B in the Shield during the week and though we found ourselves 1 nil down at half time we rescued the situation in the second half wirth 3 goals from Jayden Deady, Cian McKenna and Charlie Nolan. Jack O’Dwyer in goals was our player of the match in this game.
In the second game of the week for us we played away to Killarney Athletic in a crucial end of season match which finished in a nil all draw. This suited us better as we can now win the division if we win our last game. Well done to all the lads who put on a fantastic first half display and when the pressure came on in the second were not found wanting.
