Some of our Teams got up and running with matches last week after months of no games. Many of our teams have trained (following the FAI Return To Play Protocols) for a good few weeks since lockdown was eased.
We would like to thank Total Cleaning Kerry who helped us with Hand Sanitizing and other cleaning equipment at our facilities in Fenit.
Thanks too to all the players, managers and coaches who have cooperated with and implemented the FAI Return To Play Protocols at the pitch.
All our teams will return to training in the coming weeks with the new season on the horizon. The following were the results from the last week.
Seniors: MEK Galaxy 1 v 2 Samphires (Scorers Bill Mullins, Chris Murphy)
Two rusty teams gave their all in a hard fought game in Fossa that was very important, as both are at the wrong end of the Premier ‘A’ table. Only 1 goal in it and fortunately we were on the right side of the result with our goals coming from Bill Mullins and Chris Murphy.
Boys U17s: Park 7 v 0 Samphires
A far superior Park team got on top right from the start and they were 5 up after 20 minutes as they ran us ragged. We eventually started to get to the pace of the game and kept the scoreline as it was until half time. A gallant effort by our lads in the second half saw us much more competitive and though we conceded another 2, it was encouraging to see our boys compete right to the end.
