Ladies: Killarney Athletic 0 v 2 (0:2 HT) Samphires (Scorer Sophie O’Connor(2))
The first win for our senior ladies team. We had a strong team on view in Killarney last Sunday and we got off to a flier. An excellent first half saw us score twice through Sophie O’Connor, who again was very dangerous throughout. We had to withstand some pressure in the second half but we defended well and didn’t concede to leave us 2 nil victors. Another small step for the club. Well done to all the players and the management.
Girls U14s: Samphires 4 V 0 LB Rovers (Scorers: Alisha Deady, Sarah O’Sullivan)
Well done to the u14 girls who had to good win on Saturday. They had to contend with tough conditions yet again. Hopefully someday we get to play with no wind and rain! We scored all our goals in the first half with a hat trick from Alisha and a goal from Sarah. We then coped very well with the wind in the 2nd half when we could have scored on the break on a couple of occasions. Special thanks to the u13 girls who played up an age today Isabel, Emma, Siofra and Sarah who all played great. Thanks to LB Rovers for a sporting contest.
