Senior Men: Tralee Dynamos B 1 v 1 Samphires A (Scorer: Jason McCoy)

Another battle with rivals Dynamos B and again the sides couldn’t be separated at the end of the game. Dynamos took the lead md way through the first half but Jason McCoy scored from a volley from a Dylan Flynn corner just before half time. The second half was evenly contested as usual between these 2 teams and it ended a draw,

U15 Girls: Mastergeeha 2 v 1 Samphires (Scorer: Erin Harty)

After a really tight top of the table struggle we lost out by a narrow margin to Mastergeeha, leaving us still top but our rivals can pass us out if they win their game in hand. Despite the result we were happy with the performance. Like any team, we would like to have been a bit more clinical in attack but our opponents were not giving us anything for free. There are still a good few games to go and it will go to the wire, so keep up the great effort girls.

U14 Boys Cup: Listowel Celtic B 0 v 7 Samphires A (Scorers: Conor Walshe(2), Scott Akinyemi(2), Daniel Lawlor, Noah Slettery, OG)

Well done to the 14s who overcame Listowel B in the cup. We were on top for most of the game against a stubborn Listowel team who never gave up. Well done too to Listowel for having the pitch in such good order after the weather we’ve been having. It was good to see our lads play some good football all through, using the wings and recycling the ball in particular. At times we weren’t efficient in the last third which we have to be in the games coming up.

U13 Boys: Samphires 5 v 0 Killarney Celtic C (Scorers: )

Our lads did very well last week vs Killarney Celtic C. We were on top for much of the game and were clinical when we got our chances. At the other end we defended well so a good result for our boys.

U12 Girls Samphires 0 v 0 MEK

A tight game at home last Saturday morning versus a very good MEK team. It was tough throughout but 12s girls are a tough bunch and gave up nothing for free. Both teams will feel they could have won but overall a draw was a fair result.

U12 Boys Cup: Listowel Celtic A 5 v 0 Samphires A

A poor display by the 12s, the team’s performance has dipped since Christmas and we are short of confidence at the moment. We do need to remember that we were doing well in the first half of the season, that we haven’t become bad players overnight and that we will return to form again. Keep training hard boys.

U12 Boys: Park C 0 v 0 Samphires B
