Safeguarding Message from the League to all Clubs…
As from the start of next season in order for clubs to play in leagues, all clubs must have the Club Mark. That is either Club Mark Entry Level, Club Mark 1 Star or Club Mark 2 Star. This is a rule that has been added to FAI Rules. At present out of 22 Clubs in KSBGL we have 13 clubs who have achieved a Club Mark, well done to all those Clubs for achieving the Club Mark. We have 7 clubs who are in the process but need to get it over the line, 1 club who has not started and another club who is amalgamating. For Club’s to finish and achieve the Club Mark before the new season please contact Peter Murphy, FAI.
Yours in Sport,Jane, Secretary, KSBGL

U16 Boys Killarney Celtic B 2 v 3 Samphires A (Scorers: Cian Slattery, Conor O’Sullivan(2))
Anther good win by the 16s last Saturday. It was a fairly close affair but we were slightly on top for much of the game. At the end it was an Extra Time win away to Killarney Celtic B in the Cup. We were 1 nil up inside 90 seconds with Cian Slattery scoring. They pulled one back towards the end of the first half. Conor O’Sullivan scored from a free in the 2nd minute of the second half but an well deserved equaliser from Killarney sent it to ET. Conor O’Sullivan again scored a good team goal with 5 mins to go to seal before the game got very tetchy and there were a lots of cards given out. Our best player on the day was Fionn O’Connor who had a very good game between the sticks. Well done boys.

U15 Girls Castleisland 1 v 3 Samphires (Scorers: Aoibhinn Corridon, Ella Sayers, Erin Harty)
A great start to our Cup campaign with a composed and mature performance from our team last Saturday night under the floodlights in Castleisland. Whilst we enjoyed a good deal of possession in the earlier periods, a combination of good defending from Castleisland and our final execution being a little off, saw the game remain goalless until midway through the first half However, we began to use width a bit more in our play and scored two nice goals from crosses to finish the half strongly. Aoibhinn was on hand to finish off great work from Erin on the right wing for the opening goal. Shortly after Ella Sayers found the net from another great cross. Erin added a third goal early in the 2nd half showing great determination in the buildup. Castleisland fought until the end scoring a well worked goal in the latter stages of the match, however, we held on for the win. Onto the next round of the Cup now for these girls.
U14 Boys Park A 7 v 0 Samphires A
We were outclassed by a very good Park team last Saturday in Tralee. It might turn out to be a good lesson for our team as our defending obviously wasn’t at all good enough and our closing down of our opponents was uncoordinated too many times. Despite being 6 down at half time we did try very hard in the second half whch was encouraging, we had a lot more of the ball and had some chances ourselves.
U14 Boys Samphires B 3 v 2 Killarney Celtic D (Scorers: John McCarthy(2), Josh Duffy)
A good win for the 15s B team on Sunday. The first half was close and it was 1 all at half time and all to play for. Killarney scored first in the second
U13 Girls Samphires 0 v 2 Iveragh
Hard luck to our U13 Girls team on Saturday. They gave it their all in a closee game but Iveragh scored the all important first goal and we just couldn’t force an equaliser. Later on in the gane they got a second on a break to settle the outcome. Our girls did very well in general and are improving all the time.
