We played away to AC Athletic in Mounthawk Park in the Kerry Cup last weekend and emerged victorious after a somewhat sloppy display. We started well and were the dominant team for 15 minutes, raced into a 3 nil lead and it looked like it would be easy from there on. But AC upped their game and before we knew it the score was 3-2 and it was halftime. Things improved in the second half as our lads upped thier own tempo and it was AC’s turn to feel the pressure. The difference this half was that we continued to move the ball well even as we built a good lead and we kept our opponents at arms’ length for most of the half. Final score was 7-3 in our favour. Well done again to all the lads.
