Boys U17s: Killarney Athletic 0 v 5 Samphires (Scorers Noah Townsend(pen), Billy Walsh (2), Rory Boyd, Alex McGrath)
The 17s had a big win in Killarney against Athletic last weekend. We were a little shaky defensively for a while but were on top throughout and might have had more goals. It was 3 nil at the half with Noah, Billy and Rory giving us the lead. We added 2 in the second half through Billy again and Alex. Well done boys.
Boys U12s John Murphy Shield Final: MEK 3 v 2 Samphires a.e.t. (Scorers Jack Corridan and Cody Deady)
Our U12 team suffered heartbreak today in the John Murphy Shield final losing 3-2 to MEK Killarney after extra time. Once again our boys did their their club proud twice coming back from behind through Jack Corridan and Cody Deady – however that bit of luck needed to win a tight game just wasn’t to come as we hit the post and crossbar in extra time. This was our final game of a great season and the boys can be immensely proud of the effort put in throughout the year. We’ll done to everyone.
