Girls U14s: A great thrill for our U14 girls to be part of a history making capacity crowd at the Aviva for FAI Women vs Northern Ireland in the Nations League!

Seniors: Windmill United 1 v Samphires 3 (Scorers Donagh Murphy, John Moran, Luke Murphy)

Despite going down to 10 men just 15 minutes into the game Fenit Samphires held tough and after numerous missed headed chances by Windmill United secured the 3 points convincingly.

Boys U14s: Killarney Athletic B 3 v 2 Samphires (Scorers: Conor Finn, Gary Parker)

Friday night saw our U14’s play their first game of the Division 1 season away at Killarney Athletic. Despite a fantastic performance, we unfortunately came away with a 3-2 defeat. The result, however, does not tell the true story of how the game went. After conceding a sloppy goal to go 1 down, we equalised with a brilliant goal from Conor Finn after great work from Captain Conor O’Sullivan. Unfortunately, we conceded another preventable goal before half time to go in 2-1 behind at the break. The second half saw us dominate, and we eventually equalised with another superb goal from Gary Parker after great setup play from Conor Finn. Killarney, however, struck again with one of the few efforts they had in the second half, and despite exerting huge pressure, we could not manage to get the equaliser. A superb away performance with 3/4 of our U13 squad performing heroically up in age. If we can continue to perform like this, then we can look forward to a positive season.

U14 Girls: Samphires 4 v 1 Dingle Bay Rovers (Scorers: Ava Flaherty(3), Abi Crowley)

We got our league campaign off to a flying start with a very impressive victory against Dingle on a warm morning in Samphires Park. 3 goals from Ava Flaherty and a goal by Abi Crowley ensured we came away with the 3 pts with some superb football played at times. Thanks to Dingle Bay Rovers for a sporting game.👏⚽

Samphires U13s vs Listowel Celtic Sept 23

Girls U13s: Listowel Celtic 1 v 2 Samphires (Scorers: Fiadh , Erin)

A wet and soggy night in Listowel but a great performance from the girls who delivered a hard fought 2-1 victory. Goals from Fiadh and Erin secured the win but there were great performances right across the pitch with some great goal keeping and defending throughout. Great to start the new league season with a big win. Well done all 🥳⚽️⚽️🥳

Boys U13s: Killarney Athletic B 3 v 4 Samphires (Scorers: Cody Deady, Conor Stack, Jamie Hussey, Evan Neary)

Our u13 Boys kicked off their season with an away game v Killarney Athletic on Saturday. We started slowly and took a while to get into the game. At halftime the score was 2-2 with the lads coming from behind twice with goals from Cody Deady and Conor Stack. We came out a lot better in the 2nd half and played some lovely football resulting in two goals from Jamie Hussey and Evan Neary. We put ourselves under pressure in the last 10 mins with Killarney pulling one back but we held out for the 3 points. Nothing between the two teams and a very enjoyable competitive game. Best of Fenit Samphires was Hugo Cashell Lowe at right back. Thanks to Killarney Athletic for a sporting game.

Girls U12s: Samphires 4 v 1 LB Rovers (Scorers: Hannah Barrett Nezeri (3), Grace Fitzgibbon

Our U12 girls got their new season off to a great start with a well deserved 4-1 win at home to LB Rovers. Hannah Barrett Nezeri (3) and Grace Fitzgibbon got the goals, but all 15 girls played a massive part in the win. Thanks to LB for a tough sporting game.
