Kingdom Boys-5, Fenit Samphires-1
Even though the score line may not look good, our young Samphires can be extremely proud of the way they played. Playing Kingdom Boys A team was never going to be easy, and missing a player like Cian Donnellan did not make it any easier. We had a very good first half holding Kingdom Boys to a 2-1 scoreline thanks to some excellent work from our goal keeper and back four resulting in a great break away move which led to a fine goal finished to the net by Kievan McElligott. The second half saw Kingdom Boys pile on the pressure and score 3 more goals but great credit must go to all of our players, including those who were introduced in the second half, who never gave up. Well done to Kingdom Boys and thanks to the referee for an excellent game.
Keep it up lads, you’ve all shown a massive improvement over the course of the season. Also, we would like to wish Cian a speedy recovery.
