Seniors Samphires 3 v 1 Strand Road (Scorers Dara Heim, Oisín O Brien, Ger McCarthy)

Another good victory for the seniors last Wednesday at home to Strand Road with most players again getting a run out as the manager had a good look at his options. Dara Heim scored again as did Ger Mac with Oisín O Brien scoring the 3rd. Keep it up boys.

Girls: Samphires who played with Kerry this weekend.

Well done to all our girls who played with Kerry U16s and U13s this weekend in Ardfert.

Fenit Samphires had 3 girls line out for u13s Kerry on Sunday in Ardfert in games v South Tipp. Well done to Riona, Mai and Grace.
Also Muireann Clara and Lily lined out for the U16s

Girls U15 Samphires 1 v 3 St.Brendan’s Park (1:2 HT). Goal for Fenit – Isabel Moriarty.

Hard luck to the Girls 15s who eventually narrowly lost at home to the Park.

Boys U14s LB Rovers 2 v 2 Samphires (Scorers Dominick Regan, Charlie Nolan)

Another draw for the 14s, this time away to LB in beautiful Ballybunion last Saturday morning. It would be wrong to pick out any of the lads as man of the match as everyone played well and it was one of the best performances seen from the team. Twice we went behind but we showed a lot of determination and came back twice, the second being in injury time to deservedly get something from the match. Well done to both sets of players for such a thrilling game.

Girls U13s Killarney Celtic 2 v 1 Samphires

The u13 girls travelled to Killarney for their 2nd game of the summer competition. The team started slowly and went two goals down. Despite this the team really battled hard in the 2nd half putting real pressure on Killarney. Celtic. Fenit got a goal back and were very unlucky not to get at least a draw. Finished 2 – 1 to Celtic but the girls should be really proud of their performance.

BoysU10s: Samphires V O’Day Academy

Our ‘smallies’ played a few challenge games vs the O’Day Academy last Monday night in the new all weather pitch in Ardfert. It was beautiful weather and both clubs had 3 teams with many parents in attendance. The standard on show was of quite good for young lads, in particular their ability to keep their team’s shape which in addition to the usual tonnes of energy, led to very good games with lots of good attacking and defending. Well done to all the boys and their managers/coaches.
