Seniors: Windmill ‘A’ 0 v 4 Samphires (Scorers Ger McCarthy(Pen), Dara Heim, Oisin O’Brien)

Well done again to the seniors who have now progressed to the semi final of the Summer competition vs Killarney Athletic next Sunday in Tralee. Another good display where all the players got a run.

Girls U16:  Killlarney Celtic 3 v 1 Fenit Samphires (1:0 HT). (Scorer Muireann O’Brien)

The U16s had tough luck away to a strong Killarney Celtic outfield last week finally losing 3 to 1. As always, a great effort. Well done again girls. Keep it up.

Girls U13s

Last game of the season away v Camp. While we came away on the wrong side on the scoreline the girls can be very proud of themselves especially the way they rallied and played from mid way through first half. Some outstanding performances all over pitch with two goals from Riona and one from Emma. We had no subs on a warm day and in fairness to the girls they gave it everything they had. The girls have really gelled as a team and improved over the course of an unusual season. Hopefully we will see them all back next season. Thanks to all parents for all the driving to the different training venues and matches. Thanks to the mums who helped out and last but not least special thanks to Mags McCann who took on role of COVID officer and much more and was there at every training rain or shine…⚽⚽

Great last training session of the season last Monday night. Huge thanks to the Samphires Kerry players who were great in their support and advice for the team. The big numbers at training every week is testament to a great bunch who are improving week on week.

On Saturday morning we played a blitz with LB Rovers as our guests in sunny Fenit. We had 2 teams and LB had 2 teams where each team played each other. It was a great day of soccer with a high standard on view. Well done to all who took part and in particular to John and Malachy who organised our teams for the blitz but also for all the training sessions/matches they organised throughout the year.
