Girls U14s: LB Rovers 1 v 2 Fenit Samphires (Scorers Alisha Deady, Siofra Murphy)
We started poorly but settled after a great through ball by Saoirse was latched onto by Alisha who finished brilliantly. When we played football we created chances. We followed up with a 2nd when Siofra struck before half time. The 2nd half was a nervous affair especially after LB scored a penalty. We put ourselves under a lot of pressure but our defence withstood the onslaught and we emerged with the points. As with many of the performances this season the backline of Mia, Riona, Ava, Sarah and Isabel were super. Anna in goals dealt confidently with anything that came her way and this in turn gave us great confidence as a team. As usual Blathnaid, Aine, Sarah O Sullivan, Meah worked tirelessly with Blathnaid really unfortunate not to score a goal with a wonderful strike from outside the box.

U13 Cup Quarter Finals
MEK 3 -1 Fenit Samphires 1
Scorer: Austin Donnellan
Great effort by Fenit U13 Saturday against a physically stronger MEK team. Gave MEK too much respect at the start and were trailing 2-0 at half time. Showed great skill and heart in the 2nd half and scored mid way through it via Austin Donnellan. MEK were now on the back foot and looking worried. Fenit were unfortunate to not capitalize on a few half chances and a late goal by MEK put the tie to bed but lads should be very proud of their display.

Eventually the games that were to be played last Christmas have been played. Thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser. In first place was Ger McCarthy and in joint 2nd were Charlie Nolan and Antóin Stanton.
